Meetings. What a pain. This is a terrible way to start an article, considering I just talked about how great meetings are in my last post.

Personally, I want to attend necessary meetings, but in reality, most of the content could have been handled through text-based communication. I think most meetings are just a way to get help with your own task management and decision-making by wasting other people's time.
I happened to find an interesting book that talks about meetings with a lot of sarcasm, so I'll introduce it. It's full of know-how on how to avoid annoying meetings and how to make yourself look smart when you do attend one. It's also fun to read as a collection of relatable stories, and I think you could even try some of them out for yourself.
The incident starts when you enter the conference room
The points for self-promotion are rolling around from the moment you enter the conference room.
If you sit next to the leader, you'll look like the leader. You can take control of the meeting.
If you set an end time, people will respect you as a superman who can manage his time, and you won't have to have unnecessary meetings.
It's creative to have a meeting while walking. Not having it in a conference room is also an option.
Looking smart during a meeting
During a meeting, it's a chance to show off how smart you are.
It makes you look like you're good at math, which is cool.
You also want to show that you're particular about data. As mentioned above, talking about data is also an effective way to buy time.
