[Notion]Notion is completed with the Timeline update (with templates that can be downloaded for gonjitti style work techniques)
Roughly speaking
- Notion, the strongest life hack tool, shows the same data from multiple perspectives.
- What is Timeline Update?
- We have prepared a Timeline template this time too. Introducing Gonjicchi's speciality points. Use it for managing your work and development issue.
Notion shows the same data from multiple perspectives
Notion is already an overwhelming difference compared to Evernote, and is becoming a unique life hack tool.
There are many good points about Notion, but what Gonjicchi especially recommends is that it shows the same data from multiple perspectives.
I previously wrote an article introducing the recommended design book, "Object-oriented UI Design: The Principles of Easy-to-Use Software" (Ueno Manabu/WEB+DB PRESS), [OOUI How objects are displayed changes how easy it is to use.](https://gonjitti.com/blog/2020-08-31-ooui-layout /), but looking at the same data from multiple perspectives is important for deepening your understanding of things.
When displaying a list, focus on the target text information. It's perfect for displaying what the location is and what it's called.
If you are looking for thumbnails, pay attention to the appearance of the target. You can see what the location looks like.
When displaying a map, pay attention to the target location information. You can see where the location is.
Notion realizes these multiple perspectives using the function called View. List, Table, Gallery, Board You can set multiple ways to display them. For more information, please take a look at the [NotionNotion from Evernote. Let's take a look at the Notion template.](https://gonjitti.com/blog/2019-11-05 -notion-template/) article in the template gallery, but a timeline has been added to this view this time. It finally has the function of a Gantt chart.
Timeline Update
Timeline is a function of a Gantt chart, and by viewing pages created with Notion as tasks with a start date and end date, it is now possible to manage deadlines and persons in charge.
Now that it can now be managed as a WBS, we can apply the strength of Notion to those who have been content with other rigid project management tools.
Notion itself also has an official template. If you're interested, take a look.
Distribute templates you actually use at work
In fact, Ningenjicchi also works every day as an engineer, but he makes full use of Notion to help manage his development work.
This time, we will introduce a job template that is compatible with Timeline. The links will be distributed as templates, so if you're interested, I hope they will actually use them.
The feature is that Timeline separates the scheduled start date and due date, allowing you to specify a period. Gonjicchi manages dates in too detailed so it's not possible. It is valuable to be able to freely manage dates and switch filters and change Timeline information.
Gonjicchi uses five dates. Estimated Start Date, Start Date, Due Date (expiration date), Review Date (review date), Finish Date (end date). It is especially important to separate the review date and the end date. A review date refers to, for example, the date of presentation, the date of submission to your boss, or the date of submission to a meeting. Tasks are almost always going to have to be redoed. It is only completed when some improvement proposal is presented and the improvement proposal is overcome. Therefore, if the deadline is not expired while the review date and the end date is separated, the overflow will occur.
There is a traditional management method called WBS. You manage the dates for schedules and achievements, but in the case of Notion, there is a timeline for schedules and a timeline for achievements. You can express it by combining settings. The ability to turn markdowns, images, and links into tasks and manage them in a WBS-like way can be said to have made the dream of project management and life hacks come true.
An overly detailed status management is also a feature of this template. Status management is used when managing basic Kanban, backlog (task storage), in Progress (in progress), in Review (in review), and Release Stand by Create (release standby), Done, and Archive and manage Kanban. The key is reviews and release standby, and is an essential element for expressing task rework in kanban. Tasks that are remanded just before release or complicated tasks that require repeated reviews tend to lose sight of your current location. For this reason, we will provide a place to store it.
The template can be downloaded from each image shown above or from Here. Please feel free to use it.
